Providence VFD Needs Your Help

Published on February 22, 2015

We have learned that the Mayor of Weddington is planning to call an emergency meeting this coming Wednesday, February 25th at the Town Hall to dissolve Providence VFD’s service contract with the Town of Weddington.

We are hosting a public forum meeting at our fire station located at 5025 Hemby Road on Sunday, February 22nd at 6:00 PM to discuss these recent developments and we would greatly appreciate your support at this meeting.

This proposal by the Town of Weddington would affect the fire service received by you and your family and would increase your homeowners insurance rates by over $400 annually.

The bottom line is that we need your help. Providence VFD takes great pride in providing 24/7 staffed fire and EMS protection to the citizens of Weddington, and we would greatly appreciate your support. Here are three things that you can do to help us:

1) Show up on , February 23rd at 6:00 PM at the Town Hall to support Providence VFD. The address is 1924 Weddington Road, Weddington, NC 28104.

2) If you cannot show up on Monday, please send an email to the Town Council members listed below and let them know that you support the unmatched service that Providence VFD is proud to provide. Trust me, your support can make a difference here.
